Liberty Bell, painting
About the artist

I was born and grew up in Western Washington. Before moving to Mount Vernon in 2014, I lived in Eastern Washington for more than 35 years.
Over the years I have worked in blockprint, watercolor, serigraphy and freelance graphic work.
I began to do large work in oil and pastel around 1990, taking the imagery from the forests and mountains of North Central Washington, the stark land forms of the Columbia Basin and the landscapes and antiquities of Ireland and Scotland. Most recently I have worked with multi-run blockprints and painting in acrylics, including landscapes of the mountains, bays and rivers of northwest Washington.
The Rexville Grange spring artshow is coming up with an opening reception 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, and continuing through April 16, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. I will have some new paintings at my display. Check out http://www.rexvillegrangeartshow.com for more details
The painting below, “Off Vancouver Island,” will be at Rexville.
